We design for people who want something special, something for them.
Founded in 2006, Planeta Design Group draws from architecture, interior design, fine art, procurement, and project management backgrounds to provide thoughtful, holistic, carefully curated design solutions. Our goal is to create a singular space that reflects your vision while expanding your possibilities.
Planeta Design Group will handle every aspect of your project. Programming, schematics, and design. Contractor selection and construction administration. Furniture procurement and fine art advisory. And all the subtle details in between. We collaborate with you every step of the way, whether it’s finding the perfect spot for a cherished piece of art or taking time to help you think through how you’ll use every drawer in your new kitchen.
Ultimately we believe that interior design is about how you curate your life; what you choose to surround yourself with. We want you to be part of that process, to enjoy it, and to get everything possible out of it. Whether it’s visiting a studio to understand how the artist works, venturing to a workshop to watch a craftsman stitch a leather handrail, or talking to a metalworker to get a true sense of how the patina on bronze might affect the feel of your entire room. Design is understanding, and we hope to cultivate your curiosity and enjoy an exciting exchange of ideas.

Testimonials
“The team at Planeta Design Group is outstanding. They possess all of the basic underpinnings of a great design team—creativity, command of market trends, responsiveness, and adherence to budget, proactive engagement with the contractor and subs, etc. But their real talent is delivery of genuinely authentic design because they respond first to identity of place and then they layer on their sense of smart, original design. That prioritization is too often absent in the design world. We are on our third collaboration. I’m certain there will be a fourth.”
— Patrick McMahon, Senior Vice President Regional Development, Federal Realty Investment Trust
“They have the unique ability to truly appreciate your individual lifestyle and understand the flow and function of each space.”

At Abrams Capital, our physical space is vitally important to our firm’s culture. We want the space to reflect our values such as warmth, uniqueness, and professionalism. Planeta Basque has been our principle design firm on our last two projects because they have demonstrated an ability to translate our vision into a magnificent office environment.
