South End Condo

/

Boston, MA

PDG was tasked with the challenge of creating a light-filled home within a deep condo space, having only one window wall to work with. For a pair of photographers and lovers of art this renovation included lighter wide-plank flooring, monolithic use of millwork, glass and tile, ceiling soffits for indirect light, and soft raw plaster walls helping to absorb natural light and glow rather than reflect light. Details like an in-wall art hanging rail, minimalist modular kitchen and millwork pocket doors, help to not distract from the simple beauty of the space and featured art, while elements such as the hanging rope light and midcentury furnishings act as art pieces on their own.
